Digital Printing

Custom Printed Bags From 500 per Design

Digital printing goes straight from your artwork file to the press. There are no engraved cylinders to pay for, which is exactly why the minimum order can be small enough for a real small brand.

  • 500 bag minimum per design
  • No plate or cylinder charges
  • Short lead times and easy reprints

What Changes When There Are No Plates

Conventional packaging printing begins by engraving a set of cylinders, one for each color, for every design you run. That engraving has to be paid for before a single bag is printed, which is the real reason traditional minimums are measured in tens of thousands. Digital printing deletes that step. Your file goes to the press and the press prints it. Once the setup cost disappears, the enormous minimum disappears with it, and a brand with one product and a small budget can have genuinely custom packaging.

Where Digital Wins

It is not only a cheaper way in. It changes what a food brand can realistically do.

  • Many flavors, modest volumeEvery variety gets its own bag without its own plate bill.
  • Testing and iterationPrint, learn from the shelf, change the artwork, print again.
  • Seasonal and limited runsShort runs that would never justify cylinders.
  • Lower inventory riskOrder what you need instead of storing years of bags.

Our full comparison, digital versus rotogravure printing, works through where the crossover sits.

Quality and What to Expect

Digital is a production method in its own right, not a compromise, but it has its own character.

Full-Bleed Color

Edge to edge printing across every panel and gusset, with photographic detail.

Consistent Reprints

The same file gives the same bag months later. No cylinder to wear or re-engrave.

Versioning Built In

Run several flavors in one pass, which is how multi-SKU food brands keep costs sane.

Same Materials

Digital does not restrict you to lesser films. Barrier is a separate decision.
